Is there a way to tell when I should replace my GFO, I have never used it then about a month ago I bought a phosphate reactor and it really seemed to make a difference.  I know probably need to add some more to the reactor based on bulk reef supplies instructions but I don't have any right now, anyone around have some they want to sell?

If you are using GFO, you should probably test for phosphates. This way, you will be able to determine how much you need and how often to change it out.

I do test for them and they are supposedly at 0...  That said Bulk Reef says to increase the GFO once you have had it in your system for awhile.  [IMG]

Just don't put in too much GFO. It doesn't have to be zero and there's a lot of nice tanks out there that has little phosphate in it. It's kind of like nitrates, it doesn't have to be at zero but somewhere close is fine.
