Awesome! Thanks! Also could you PM me some prices if we wanted to buy some and let me know what the lead time is. We used to have "Staff" shirts for the events and would like to look into those again.

    Thanks!

I don't mean to complain, but 30 bucks for a black t shirt seems a bit high. I will be buying one,but hard to justify buying any more then that. How much of that goes to the club?

I set the "cut" the club gets at $2.00 for everything except bumper stickers which is $0.50. I understand it seems higher than some for shirts and I will try to add a few cheaper versions of stuff if I can find them. Keep in mind, this is my first attempt and I am learning what all I can do with this site. Big thing is you get a GIRS shirt which no one else has as of yet and you contribute towards the club? Win win?? I think so! lol

**New Shirt designs have been added. Specifically the ones asking for the pocket GIRS logo with IowaReefs.com on the back.

The items are also now broken down into categories like Ladies, Men, Children, etc.

Hey KP------I was actually surprised they weren't higher priced, there is nothing cheap anymore, unfortunately, wait till we are paying $5 lb for ground beef this summer!

I've made and ordered pre-made items from CafePress in the past. I've also done the same with Zazzle.com and both places have nice quality shirts that they use. Sure, it is $30 for a t-shirt, and about $23-$25 for just a plain shirt with nothing on it... I mean, nobody pays that price for a plain t-shirt, however it is the uniqueness and customization factor that make it worth it in the end. For small, on-demand needs, these places are great and the prices do reflect that it is not a mass-produced item.

Now, if you were making up 250 t-shirts, you could probably go to a local place and get them for under $20 a piece, but that would be a fairly thin shirt from the last time I looked into it.

One other question, what about a window cling that has the full color logo on a transparent background?

I am not a fan of putting a sticker on my car, no matter what it says, but a color on transparent window cling I could go with.

EDIT: Nevermind. It looks like their version of a "window cling" is a transparent vinyl sticker. I guess it would come off of the glass easier, but it don't think that it is printed in reverse to be applied to the inside of a window and that wouldn't help much.

Joshua - I dig it, it might end up on a shirt lol

Jason - That's a tall order, how about a onesie instead?? They have pink... /DesktopModules/ActiveForums/themes/_default//emoticons/smile.gif

Also, I think there are free shipping codes until April 16th: SHIP3 Min $50 order, ends April 15th

There might also be a 20% discount code: Bloom20[/b] [/b] ends March 28th

All the info and restrictions can be found at the top of the cafepress.com homepage.

***I have never used these codes so I don't know if they actually work or not. Someone want to try it out for me? /DesktopModules/ActiveForums/themes/_default//emoticons/wink.gif

That's exactly it, you're forced to pay a premium on all these items because they are made to order. With an outside company handling all aspects of the making and distribution of the products they have all the expenses. I'm guessing they're making a healthy profit on each item as well. But its very little hassle on the GIRS end. We don't have to fund the production costs, or handle the merchandise at all. Plus it offers everyone a pretty much endless choices in goodies. I'd say its a win win for everyone.

Screen printing if we could do a good sized order (100+) Actual cost to the club would probably be 8-10 bucks. And thats good quality 6oz cotton shirts. Do any less than that and the price starts to skyrocket. Plus we have to incur the production costs, and handle distribution. I've had shirts made up for other things, and I'll tell you its a pain in the ***.
