Go pro hero 3 cam

I have the original GO Pro Hero. I have never used it scuba diving but I have stuck it in my reef tanks to video the fish for fun. I also have tied it to my dogs collar for a dogs view of life.

 

I used the Gpro hero 2 for snorkeling. I see the 3 comes with a flat lens already? If so that would be nice.

I use the hero2 for diving, with the stock waterproof case (no flat lens) and it still takes decent video. This is a video I took last year on spring break. With a flat lens and better visibility you can take some great video.

I got it in late December for my tank and snowboarding, but mainly for diving. Will be going on a cruise with plenty of snorkel and dive excursions planned on the 17th, so I will hopefully get some decent footage to show the quality! I had trouble deciding on what mount to use while diving to keep the camera steady, but did get a snap on red color filter for diving in Carribean/tropical water to eliminate the blue tint. I'll upload a few in a couple weeks. Are you thinking about getting one? for the amount of money i've spent on this thing, it better perform!

That and the rest of the ones I will post were still images, often set at 10 fps. But i'm sure you can grab stills from video as well. Youtube messes up the quality.In the first video and alot of the pictures I had a red lens cap on that I got off of amazon to correct massive amounts of blue 10 feet and under, but obviously it was unnecessary and can easily be edited away. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bmTvdnUZlPo&feature=youtu.be
