Just gone through two power failures tonight and I fear for tomorrow when it gets even hotter. Glad I have a least a battery powered air pump to keep some water movement going. Wish I had not given my brother the generator I had before I moved to Iowa. Hopefully this will not continue. Just starting to get my tank back in order and if it all dies due to a power failure I think I will lose it.

That's scary... I just moved to North Liberty over the weekend (aquarium still needs to move from Des Moines). I haven't had any issues yet ::crosses fingers::. How long does it tend to go out for? Is your power through Alliant or Linn County REC?

@Actuary I have been present for around 7 since we moved her last november. They usually are only a few seconds or minutes tops. Just enough to reset my ip address on my neptune controller. But Mondays was the worst on/off/on /off for 3 hours I really suggest a battery back up. I think I am gonna look into one now. My power is through Linn by the way. I am down by Van Allen elementary not sure if it was our little section or if it was more wide spread.

@fishyness you have my deepest sympathies that long without power in this heat is just not right. Was your tank ok ? How did the Family hold up? I know there was no relief at night either.
