Grant from Lake View, IA

    I live in Lake View, IA and had a small saltwater tank (nanocube dx, 12 gal) several years ago and am getting it going again.  Just waiting for the live rock/sand to cycle.I will probably get a larger tank setup someday now that I have a decent pile of rock, it would be nice to find someone else in the area so we can combine orders and save on shipping.Lake View is between Fort Dodge, Sioux City and Carroll. I go to Sioux City fairly often but am not familiar with the shops there that sell marine life.

    Hi Grant,

    My name is Nick & I live just north of you in Newell. I have a 150 gallon setup. The only other person that I know of in the club in our area lives in Cherokee.

    I'll bet there are others they just have not found this site yet. I had no idea it existed until yesterday.
    I know there used to be a guy right here in LV that had a salt tank but it's offline right now.

    I was Just in Fort Dodge this weekend, too bad the ammonia in my tank is still way too high to support anything.
    Since its such a small tank I'll probably just have a clownfish or 2 in there for my daughter along with a bunch of snails and hermit crabs, I had blue legged ones last time and I thought they were pretty neat so I'll see if I can pick up some more of them. My wife actually suggested cutting a hole in the wall and putting in a 160 or so gallon, that might be a good winter project though.
