If anyone is in the market for a new flat screen, check out us-appliance.com.
They have some incredible deals on Sony 3D LED TV bundles right now.
For example, you can get a TV, 3D Blu-Ray Player, Active 3D Glasses and 3D Transmitter with free shipping for about $600 less than you can buy the TV alone at Best Buy.
The deal various a bit depending on which TV you're interested in.   The nicer TV comes with a PS3 instead of a blu-ray player and it also comes with Alice in Wonderland (which is only available in the Sony 3D starter pack).
    More info here: http://www.us-appliance.com/sonyhdtvs.html
One thing to note is that this place is SLOW when it comes to order processing and shipping, so be warned...

It is supposed to be a good year to get a TV. According to one report I read there is a glut of TVs due to the slow economy. I'm planning on a 26 or a 32 for our bedroom. "Black Friday" should have some killer deals.

Not that great of deal for the 1 in 10 people who can't see 3d like me.

I am in the market for a 32" but waiting for the perfect black friday "slickdeal"

Do you have a general problem with depth perception or just with perceiving it in 3D media? The TV's don't use the same polarization system that the movie theaters do. I wonder if you have the same issue with both.

In any case, keep an eye on DealNews.com

That's where I found the Sony deal and they have lots of other great deals on TVs, especially around black friday.

I have very poor depth perception making it almost impossible to see stereo imagery.  I remember the day Best Buy got the first 3d TV on display, I was super stoked to try it out and had to wait in line for like 10 minutes.  Everyone in front of me "oooo'd and awwww'd".  Once it was my turn I thought for sure there was something wrong or the glasses were busted.  Nope.  Apparently I am stereo blind, there is an optometrist who wrote a book about training your eyes to see stereo properly but who has time for that?  Although I have thought about it.
I did have one type of 3d affect work very well.  It was in a large IMAX theater and the glasses they used were very different than the ones you get at theaters.  I was completely blown away by that movie, I think it was called "Under the Sea" or something like that.  But yeay, being stereo blind and having all these neat movies come out in 3d is like a kick in the nuts.
I usually check slickdeals.net daily for the deals.  I actually just picked up a sweet Yamaha Reciever, Polk Audio sub, and a 5 piece Jamo speaker set for right around $700 shipped.  It's a great system.
