Greetings - from North Liberty

    Hi, my name is Terry and I just got into the saltwater hobby about 8 months ago.  My Water quality is stable with 0's across the board.  Yay.  I started with a bio cube 14 as a desk aquarium but found it too be hard to find mods that fit in it.  Like a skimmer that actually worked etc.  So I bought a bio cube 29 about 4 months ago.  They are both in my computer room on a L shaped counter top desk with sump under the smaller section of the L.   I have photos of both my tanks in my profile. /DesktopModules/ActiveForums/themes/_default/emoticons/biggrin.gif 
    Always looking for new coral.  /DesktopModules/ActiveForums/themes/_default/emoticons/biggrin.gif  Some day I hope to start trading.  As soon as my corals take off a little better.

    coolness, welcome to coralaholics anonymous! haha I'm Andy Long, I'm the area trustee for the Iowa City/Cedar Rapids (and surrounding area) group. Be sure to join our regional forum for updates and info on what we've got going on, we do a meet every month and we've got a lot planned for this year.

    I have a bunch of corals for sale, and so does one of my buddies in the area (screen name erayk1). Also Craig's (xroads) store, Anemones Clowns and Corals can't be beat! There are probably only 3-4 stores in the state that I would say are comparable to his place (Sea of Marvels in NL, Iowa Petfoods and Seascapes in DM, and Aquatic Environments in the QC area there's a couple others I can't really think of right now). AC&C is a stones throw away in Washburn (just south of Waterloo about a mile).

    Get a hold of me if your interested in making a short trip to SE side of Iowa City man!

    Welcome to the site. Like Andy said there are numerous club members in your area that are more than willing to help you with your new found addiction. I urge you to join the CR/IC area group and consider attending the next monthly meeting to get a real feel for what all comes along with being a GIRS member. I believe you are allowed to attend one meeting without paying membership fees just to see what its all about. It really is a great group of folks we have in this area with all different experience levels in the hobby.

    sweet, thanks guys.. but if the meetings are during the day on sat like some i seen in the past... I am at work almost every saturday.

    Welcome twb. My names Erick and Im in north liberty too. This is a great club to belong to and I can personally tell you Andys corals are great I have seen first hand as well as erayk1. I just bought some of his and they are cool. Never be afraid to ask for help or ask questions. We are here to help. Welcome to the addiction that isn't bad for your health(maybe your marriage)lol.

    Welcome, Terry! Feel free to ask questions, no matter how long you've been in the hobby, someone always seems to be able to help. Asking Andy if his photos do his tank justice is not needed - we're trying to wrangle him into teaching a photo session for our group. Anytime a photo contest is mentioned, the next sentence out of someone's mouth is "and of course Andy can't enter".
