Thought I'd post some pics before I re-arrange my tank to change the flow pattern.  I've known for a while that flow is very important to coral growth, but have never had the evidence in my tank.  Concensus in the last few years is flow, feeding & stability are more important than light and this is along those lines.
Of course, I'm not a photographer so the difference is more noticeable in person!

Specimen #1 is Green Slimer from JB - these frags are both from the same colony, added same day.  Lighting is similar but major difference in flow.  Not a major difference in the amount of growth/polyp extension.
Near center of tank, high flow, substantially darker

Specimen behind pocillopora with substantially less flow, quite a bit less coloration

Bright zoas.  Added to the tank from the same colony.  Low flow area hasn't really multiplied...high flow started with 3 polys a few months ago.  Mili is also loving the flow!  Started as a single 1" frag 5 months ago.

I'm going to add top-down to help eliminate dead spots from other corals.  Currently @ 1,400gph and looking to increase to around 2,100 gph.  Should be more than 30x.
    Thanks for looking!
