I've not seen this stuff for sale or even available commercially very often, and I've combed the stock list of some pretty big and exclusive distributors (ORA, ERI, 5D, Segrest, East Pacific, etc.) Then, a whole lot of people exterminate it when they find some on fresh live rock because it sucks calcium. You're best bet is to find someone with a fresh haul of Fiji, Brazilian rock has a lot of halimeda too.

Yea I know they have it. But I realy don't want to pay the $35 shipping just for plants.

Where is Hillsboro located? I am in Des Moines and have a tank full of it. One thing I will confess is that I have never really looked into how you remove it from rock and how to ensure its survival...

it's a ways away but I will pay you if your willing to bag some up and throw it in a usps flat rate shipping box. As far as removing it from the rocks you can just pull it. But if you have any rooted into the substrait that would be much better.

Sorry. Was out of town on business and just got back in town. If you change your mind and want more, let me know. Like I said, it is essentially a weed in my tank and is shocking to see what DFS is trying to charge for it.

At the risk of opening myself up to a others wanting me to dig some out for them, I think my price would have beat theirs[IMG]. I would sort of liken it to me trying to charge someone for a nice piece of hair algae or aptaisia.

Hey Bill - sorry I missed this until now!
I have some and would have given you some for free based on our past trades - you've always been more than fair!

    Hey Bill!
Did you receive your Halimeda yet and is it okay?
I don't have much and someone hit me up for it via pm - I wanted to wait until I heard that yours was okay before I proceeded.
    Thanks!

    Did you toss it?
Strange thing about this plant is that it turns white (looks dead) without light then colors up within 15-20 minutes of getting light.
Mine is bleached white every morning!
