Finnex titanium all the way BRS has a great video on heaters. They tested a few different ones for there 160 build and also went with the Finnex

I prefer eheim after having a finnex go bad after just a few months. I would say get two for sure for redundancy. I run mine through the the apex and set the heater itself slightly higher than the shutoff point for the apex. If you don't have an apex, sizing the heater correctly is more important.

I like to have 2 heaters in a tank, if one goes out you still have one working. Apex or temp controller to monitor and regulate is always a good idea. I am on my 4th Finnex and all are still working, my first one was bought in 2010. I just keep buying them because they keep working for me!

Finnex Titanium w/Digital control, so far it's the best heater I've used. Have in on several tanks.

Eheim Jager is really good as well (thick glass) but I still put that on a controller vs trusting the dial setting.

I use Finnex titanium digital as my primary and an Aquatop digital as my backup set 2 degrees cooler just in case the Finnex failed.
