    what is the best heater out there in your experiences
    looking to see what gets suggested the most.

    I have been using a via aqua titanium heater for a year and a half now and it's by far better than any heater I have ever used.

    STAY AWAY from Marineland !!!! Another recall heater malfunction. I'm getting rid of all of them and going with results from this thread. Thanks.

    I think I want a titanium one with external controller
    to adjust the temp easier.

    I use Azoo titanium and haven't had any issues with it. I am a fan of the external controller even though I don't really ever change the temp... it's still nice to see the lights on the controller rather than on the heater which isn't visible in my sump.

    currently i am using 2 finnex 800 watt titanium heaters but this winter i am going to use my gas water heater and a titanium heat exchanger to heat my aquarium
