Hello my wife and I took the plunge in Nov. 2011. We bought an established 125. We are to impatient to start from scratch. It basically had a lot of live rock sand a few leathers. , a dogface puffer, tomato clown and flame hawkfish. All the fish and most leathers taken out. Snails, hermit crabs, sand sifting star, naso tang, eppaulette tang, o. clown, 2 skunk cleaner shrimps, fire spshrimp, emerald crabs, sps, lps, green mandarin, and last of all a powder blue tang that is a complete jerk were added. Wow this is addicting. Thanks to all who have helped me.

Welcome!!!  I grew up in Logan and graduated from LoMa High - many years ago.  Haven't been back much in the last few years, as my last family member living in Logan passed away a few years ago.  There are a couple great members close to you - in Council Bluffs and Omaha (Adam - a transplant from Iowa /DesktopModules/ActiveForums/themes/_default/emoticons/tongue2.gif).

Thanks all for the welcome. I met Adam that you are talking about I believe. Very informative and helpful my switch from halides to leds. It's amazing in this hobby a lot of helpful people. In other hobbies not so much. If I can figure how to get pics on I will do so. Thanks again all.Kevin

Welcome! It sounds like you've already taken quite the dive off the deep end haha. Nothing wrong with that though!

First month with fish very rocky. With Ruff Waters, Nebraska Aquatics, and people like Adam P. corals and inverts easy. Quarantine tank for fish worth it's weight in gold. Thank god there are clubs like these where everyone has already made and fixed the mistakes that I was about to make to pave the way for a newbie.
