    Hello all!


    My name is Kathy and I am new to the hobby. I am from Chicago and have recently moved to the QCA. I have always had a fascination/obsession with coral reefs (seriously, its strange, when other kids were playing with power rangers I was reading ocean textbooks). Anyways I have always wanted a saltwater tank and finally decided to go for it. I recently started a new (about 2 months old) 55 gallon reef tank; 65lb LR, 40lb LS. I have a green mandarin, scooter blenny, pair of ocel clownfish, and a handful of soft corals. I am excited to be a part of this group!

    The Quad Citiy Region is just getting started back up again and would love to have you as an active member in the area!

    This weekend is our festival in Des Moines! If you post in the Quad City Region Area of the forum, you might be able to ride down with someone!

    welcome! the QCA is an up and comming area with new people joining . hopefully if you dont know most or all of them yet you can find them thru the forum, also as chris said this sat is out fest in des moines and it was an awesome event last year and you would love all the eye candy and reef talk.
