I have no status light on the Apex. All 4 EB8's are blinking yellow! My lights are on on the 180 and they should be also on the 40B, but they are not! Right now unless someone can walk me through this, I'm SOL!!

Are you sure they are blinking yellow? If so did you do anything before this?
If this yellow light thing is happening then this is what is going on
    Blinking Yellow
The EnergyBar 8 is in boot loader mode and has not been configured by the AquaController Apex

Does base unit stay green and display work?
Often blinking yellow is a communication fault also on the EB8

Your apex will continue running your default program I think and that's why your main tank things are on correctly and I would be checking on your program once you get things restored. Looks like they are not correct for when you unit loses communication

Any way any te I have issues I email neptune. Get in there system right away. They are great. Then Google seach your issue.
I also power the unit off.
Pay attention where every aqua us is plugged into and power off apex. Unplug both EB8 after power down. Let it set about minute. You want to unplug eb8 from wall and base unit. Then plug base unit in wait for green light now your first eb8 the 2nd . U can change aqua us outlets so don't change them by mistake.. Remember power off them wait a few minutes and plug everything back in one at a time.

If this don't reset it you may have to re install firmware.

Thanks Kyle! It's a mess! This all started because of a burned out bulb on the 40B! Yes, I did something before this:-/ I have started a Support ticket and added to it.

The display does not work (or the computer dashboard). There is no status light on the base unit/Apex. I have 4 EB's: 2 for the 180 (where the base unit is) and 2 for the 40B. One EB for the 180 is blinking green, one is blinking yellow. Both EB's for the 40B are blinking yellow.

Do you know if Neptune Support is available Sunday's?

I previously unplugged all EB's from the wall outlets. I also unplugged every aquabus. That might be where part of the problem is because I may have plugged them into the EB's in different 'hubs'.

Yes that's the problem. Every module is assigned an address and that includes the port it plugged in.
Yes I think Paul is always there. Lol
So you can't even get just the base unit working?

You can reading them but only if you delete them. Your display or web dashboard is a must at this point.

I would see if you can get the base unit to turn green. Unplug everything totally. See if just the base unit will turn green with only one eb8 powering it. Then display and so one

Use the EB8 that's blinking green and try each aquabus combo.

Well Kyle, some of your guidance helped!!!! YAY!! WOOT,WOOT for Kyle!! Apex/base unit is working...green status light! The 2 EB's for the 180 are working...green lights!! Yay!! Heat and topoff working!! I have the dashboard on the computer now also!! :0) Thank you Kyle!!!

The 2 EB's for the 40...no, still yellow flashing lights :0( I am not positive that I plugged all usb's into the same hubs :9( I am working in a tight area where it is relly difficult to see. I am afraid to try to reinstall the firmware as Support walked me through it over the phone as I have to hardwire the Netgear with the laptop. I remember how to connect the Netgear to the laptop but that's it:9(

It's almost 3AM so I'm going to find a heater that's calibrated and put it in the 40B. Add some topoff water and hit the sack. I'll see what later brings! Thanks again Kyle!!
