Ok so figured this would be the best place to look. I use to have a decent size tank it was a 75gal. Got out of it was crazy hard which I'm guessing I was doing it wrong. But been doing a lot of research on biocubes and I really want one. Just perfect for a noob like me. So let me know if you have one or one like it (nanocube or something that easy I don't even know about lol.

Please don't PM as I don't check this very much

my email is claysmith47@gmail.com or 515-339-6856 text or call

    thanks in advance

I am personally not for the nano aquarium for beginners. I know the small size makes it nice for small places and the cost isn't to bad but the small size just means you have to monitor the tank a lot more and have less time to fix problems that come up. I have tanks ranging from a 29 biocube to a 125 gallon tank and by far the bigger ones are just less maintenance.

Money also plays into it for me. But yah everyone says bigger is better but honestly had a 75 gal and had to mess with it like everyday no time to in joy it when you wanna pull your hair out. Replaced everything like twice but still had problems and easy stuff dieing. Just wanna get back into it. With not much cost and little hassle.

Agreed I have had (and have) tanks from 9 - 180 gallons, still have the big one but gave up on the 9 gallon, just way to much work and hard. I think a 55 is a good place to start and can get them on here cheap. I got one with tank stand and sump for 150.00 just tonight.

Ok ok I give in haha bigger is better. One thing though another reason the bio cube appealed to me was because its all there a plug and play in a sense. How hard would it be or pricey to get that in a 55gal? Thanks Nik always nice to have a brain to pick when I had my old one I swear I went to Iowa sea and pets every day.

I Think it would be pretty easy, same equipment just different sizes and in different places. (overflow versus drilled and HOB versus sump is all) depends on what you want FOWLR or reef. Tim and Scott and the staff at Seascapes are a great resource and so are we, message me any questions you have and I will answer or give me a call (mssg to get #) and I will help as much as I can or point you to some-one that can.

You could mount an algae scrubber on the corner of a tank if you wanted to do a sumpless system. That would save you a lot of time, money and maintenance.
