OK guys, just did a water test tonight. params are as follows:
PH : 7.8 in the middle of the day, with lights on (yikes!!!)
    Nitrates: 10ppm
    Nitrites: 0ppm
    Ammonia: 0ppm
    Phosphates: 0ppm
    Calcium: 450
    dKH: 8
    Salinity: 1.024
(I dont have a Mag test kit, so not sure what that is at)

I need to get the PH and dKH up. What to do?? Ide like to dose, as I dont have a calcium reactor no the money to get one at the current time.

oh, also had my first jumper tonight. My largest blue green chromis jumped for some reason, not sure why. This is what lead me to test the water, to make sure something didnt pop up all of the sudden.

I use Seachem reef buffer. It will bring your ph up to 8.3 and raise alkalinity. They say it wont over shoot 8.3 and it has not on me yet.

What's the ph of your water when you first mix it? I had the same problem and was using a ph buffer to try and fix it but it would just drop right back down over 24 hours. Anthony calfo said something about putting a air stone it your ro water resovor to get rid of excess co2. So i tryed it and that easy problem solved. Before i did this the ph of my fresh mix was 7.8 now it's 8.2 and the tank has stabilised.
