I purchased an LED upgrade kit for my 29gallon biocube from Steve LED's. I installed the kit yesterday and everything was working wonderfully. This morning after my lights did not come on when they were supposed to, I noticed the BLUE LCD screen on the Typhoon controler was out and it appears the controller is dead. His manual (http://stevesleds.com/uploads/Typhon_LED_Controller_7.3.13.pdf) indicated that if the LCD does not turn blue when plugged in:

1)Ensure the power supply is plugged into the wall securely, or try a different outlet.

2)Twist the input power jack, it should spin freel

The LCD screen was on and the controller was working last night. Any suggestions? I called and emailed Steve LED's and have yet to hear from them. Could I use a different controller? I am not even sure how to override the controller manually.

Sorry, never dealt with that particular controller. Did the power supply and controller all come together? Just to be sure its not a case of the wrong power supply blowing something up. I'm definitely no expert in them, but I would bet you could use another controller, you would just have to make sure it uses the same signal for dimming.

Yeah, the power supply came with the controller. I actually called Steve LED to configure the wiring before installing it too. I simply don't know what happened. But right now, my tank is sitting dark /DesktopModules/ActiveForums/themes/_default/emoticons/cry.gif

I have a Par38 full spectrum LED bulb and mount that you can borrow until you figure it out.

Thanks for the offer, Rocketman. Luckily, Steve LED is replacing the controller. Until the replacement controller arrives, I rewired the LEDs to turn on/off manually.
