    Hi I am new to the salt water thing, I do have two 75's and two 40's fresh water.
    I have had fish my entire life, my wife has looked at salt water setups before and asked about why I don't get one so this came along.
    I got a used 55 gal reef setup built in canopy it has a DAS (? I don't know what that stands for) it is self-contained unit, it is 39 x 16w x 20 tall, it has 2-96watt pc lights,

    DAS, as far as I know, stands for Dutch aquarium system, although I know very little about it apart from that. Maybe someone else can chime in /DesktopModules/ActiveForums/themes/_default//emoticons/smile.gif

    Welcome. DAS stands for Dutch Aquarium System, but I'm afraid I've never used one or know much of anything about them.

    Welcome to the club! I don't know much about the DAS either but I'm sure one of the more experienced members will be able to help you. In the mean time almost anyone can answer any questions you may have about setting up and the basics of saltwater /DesktopModules/ActiveForums/themes/_default//emoticons/smile.gif

    if the QC forums are the qcfishkeepers.com I am on there, maybe to much.
    yes I will be starting a posting with several basic questions.
    where I hope to gather some basic info (other view points)

    1 more thing in the lower right corner of the computer screen it keeps popping this up is the only way to make it stop by deleting them once you read them ?
