Anyone have a hole saw kit I could borrow tomorrow or Wednesday?
Need to drill a new hole in my pond tank for a 2" bulk head but can't remember the outer diameter.
I'd prefer to find someone local to the Cedar Rapids/Hiawatha/Marion area since this would be a simple size and drill process.

Right about now I'd make the drive lol. What time do you head to work in the morning? Is the Casey's off of I-380 near North Liberty close to home?

Might check into the Harbor Freight deal. I only need it this one time but I am an independent IT contractor so never know when I may need it. The HF kit are they for wood or metal? And yes the pond tank is plastic. Thick tho.

I got a hole saw kit I bought for 18 dollars at norbys in Manchester just for the purpose of drilling holes for bulkheads. Thiesens should stock the same or just hit up harbor freight. Take the bulkhead in with you and you could snag the exact size you need for 10. The kit is so cheap because its just stamped steel so not worth a damn for construction but great for thin stock and plastics; a good hobby kit. I stripped one of them out at the arbor drilling through half inch plywood but to be fair it was a WAY over powered, 9 amp drill.

To answer your question you could borrow this kit if your willing to pick up and drop off at engineering on county home rd and hwy 13.

I'll keep that in mind abower since I am pretty close but I do need to run my daughter to Trinity on the South side of town so HF isnt that far away from there. I'll keep you guys posted on what route I take to get this tank drilled. Thought about putting in a new 1.5" bulk head and adapting up to 2" for the return pump but I'm afraid the intake pressure would be to much.

Yes they sell water storage tanks and farm equipment. They may call them something different but they are the same
