Hollywood stunner and tubbs blue

Do you ever come to desmoines cause id like a stunner frag

 

Man I love that Hollywood Stunner, I got a piece of it at spring fest and it's really sweet looking stuff! IDK why but mine's not growing that fast. I've had to move it around and stuff, where do you keep yours at as far as flow and lighting goes?

 

I'm with you on that one Andy. Mine actually almost succumbed to RTN about a month after I got it at spring fest. It hung in there and has grown back over the skeleton but it hasn't really grown much further unfortunately. I have had mine up relatively high in the tank (under MHs) and am wondering if I should lower it to mid level.

 

Yeah I've heard a lot of people have great luck with them, I just haven't gotten that one right yet. I think, mid light, mid flow is best for them by trial and error. I'll let you know how it goes.

 

I am going to try and make it to fall fest but my wife is did Oct 31 so I might not make it if I can't I will have someone pick it up for me

I must agree Chalices are my favorit coral! Very colorfull and fast growing! I keep mine at all different spots in the tank. I just use trial and error, I am always moving them around. They all seem to like different environments! I think feeding them (fish poop lol)is actually more important!

 

dang! I need to move mine down I guess. Are you rocking 250 mhs there?

 

i got mine the same time as mike and i had it in to much light and was growing slow then i seen mikes and i moved mine to lower lights high flow and it has grown *** much in the last mnth then the first 5 or what ever it was

 

and mine is under 1 150watt

 

Hrmm... perhaps having mine high under 400w MHs is a bit too intense. I'll try relocating it when i get the chance.
