    Hello,
I have been using a 13 gallon sump with my tank and topping off with kalkwasser. Some of the powder or settling of the kalk is on the bottom of the chamber where my ato feeds. I would like to suck the powder out. If it wasn't on the ground I would siphon it out. Does anyone have a suggestion has to how to get the powder out? Thank you.

    Shop vac?
I use a siphon attachment that goes on a faucet and generates siphon, it's a gadget left over from back in the day we used to use to drain our waterbeds. I think they might sell them in Python gravel vacs now.
Or maybe a small pump as long as it's only powder and not chunks.

Thanks for the suggestions. I thought about the pump idea. That would probably work best for me.
