Hydor flo has hidden value.

    Okay, these things have mixed reviews from folks. When they work they're nice, but they tend to get messed up pretty easily. However they have another use that I've found very handy. They come with little rubber adapters so that they'll fit an assortment of different powerheads. These things are great for connecting mismatched plumbing parts. They've come to my rescue a few times.

    I've got one on every return line that I've got. I don't mind the reduction in flow because I have plently of that already. It just creates a nice random current in the tank. Just maintain them when you do a water change and they keep on working great.
