Hydor Koralia`s any luck?

    Any one have experience with the Hydor Koralia's on a timer/wavemaker? I have a set of the originals and a set of the Hydor Koralia Evolutions and both knock like mad even though the evo's are supposed to be timer firendly..





    Any ideas or suggestions? I LOVE the flow they produce but really hate the knocking (it doesnt bother me as much as it does the fish...)





    My alternative is to get two Jebao WP25's for the 75 and one for the 40 and clear out a handfull of the Koralia's

    From what I've been told they all make that annoying click every time the the switch on and off.

    Really? I just bought a couple of evos that I was going to put on a timer. Crud.

    I can say the Evo's are better than the old model ones... That is they click less often maybe 1 out of three starts. but alternating thats still pretty much a click a switch...

    Saddoris, They really are great pumps for circulation. the spread and power is awesome! they just don't seem to cut it on timers/switches...

    I thought the originals were definitely not timer friendly.

    Oh they certainly are not, but the evos are only slightly better if that. I mean they dont break the bank... but we do have a new baby... so really throwing anyhting away breaks the bank! lmao

    I have 2 of the evo 1050s and the hydor timer and I had to move all the way up to the 15 min cycles and now I dont even notice it anymore,

    It doesnt bug me as much as all the fish go squirrelling out of the way into caves the second it goes off...
