Well, I recently had one of my maxijet 1200's tank out on me.  Not sure why, but it's dead.  I have been seeing a lot of the hydor koralia powerheads in people's tanks.  Are these good to use?  I love the idea of a magnet to hold it in place, as the suction cups never work that great.
Goods and bads about this?  Just checking.
    Thanks,
    Jason

Good pumps for the price. Only downfall is probably the size and the lack of control for them unless you buy the controllable kind along with their controller.

Koralias are great pumps for the money. They are all I use currently.

Great water movers, the only thing I use---my corals love the movement!

I just put one in my 10g. So far I am more than happy with it.

    Ok. I have a 75. Should I go with the 3 or 4?

2-3's should be good. But do the calculations. For SPS you want between 10-20 times turnover. With a 75 and I assume at least 20 gallons in the sump you will want between 950 and 1900 GPH total with return pump. If you have a sand bed 20x will be too much. In general I would say 2-#3's for a 75, thats what I have on my 90.

Cool. I do have a sandbed and a 20gallon sump too. I'll work on getting 2 #3's rigged up soon. I have one crappy power head in there now, temporarily, but it's just hanging in there as the suction cups don't work.

Cybball, I am running a 2 and a 3 in my 75---but I'm going to go with two #3's soon, I just want a bit more movement----I have SPS & LPS----I think you'll be very happy!
    Good luck and have fun!!
