Would anyone running the Hydra 52's please post or PM me your light settings? I'm going to be installing 3 of these over a freinds tank and I'm just looking for a ball park idea on the intensity of the different colors.

I know the depth and all that good stuff plays a roll-------its a starting point I'm looking for, I run Sol Blues and have no experience with the reds and greens etc.

    Thx a bunch in advance!

Even you folks running just the Hydras please chime in.

I have the hydras over my 250, 5'x3'x27" water depth - I run the blues and whites cranked up all the way and the reds and greens down around 50% I believe. I'm only getting 300 par or so near the surface and around 100 on the sandbed. Not enough for what I am wanting. I turned the sols back on yesterday and started cranking par numbers out again. We'll see how the corals respond.

I think best bet is to dial in the white and the blue with a par meter, those 52s should pump out a lot more light than the regular hydras, then add in the red and green until your eyes tell you the colors look good.

Thx Dave, I'm taking the PAR meter with me and kind of thought that was the way to do it, was just looking for opinions.
