I need to know how to remove anemones from a rock

    what is the best way to remove an anemone from a rock with out hurting it? Any sugestions??

    Point a powerhead at it, message the foot. Move the rock to a different spot on the tank. Thats a few different ideas I've read about.

    Aside from the obvious "Do you really have to remove it from the rock because it's dangerous?", I've done the massage a foot, I've also heard that the blunt end of a paperclip (the rounded part) could work.

    Of course time and patience no matter what way you choose.

    never tried any method, but I think I remember reading about putting an ice cube on the foot.

    I always took a pair of bone cutters and remove some of the rock below the foot. Then get your finger under the foot and gently work it loose.

    I just read the same thing just lightly touch the anemone around the foot with an ice cube gently and it will let go of the rock. I also found if you move them away from where they want to be they will move back. However this could take sometime and you will need to keep a close eye on hem to see when they release from the rock.
