I took the PE Test for EE (that's Professional Engineering test for the Electrical Engineering discipline) in April and the results just came out.  I passed on the first try!  Yeah!  It would have totally sucked to spend the summer studying for the October exam.  No worries now!!
For anyone who doesn't know what that means, you graduate with a BS in engineering, then you take an 8-hour exam called the FE or Fundamentals of Engineering (which covers all engineering disciplines), then after you pass that, you work for at least 4 years under a licensed engineer, then you can take the PE exam, which is another 8 hour exam but it's specific to your discipline, and that takes about 6 months to study for on average.  If you pass, then you get a license number and you can stamp and sign drawings/documents that are used for construction, reports, studies, etc.  Anything that needs an 'official' seal from an engineer.
What does it mean for me?  Right now, it means I'm going frickin GOLFING man!

Congrats!  So, have you started filling up the new tank yet or does that happen after golf? [IMG]

Youwere stressing too hard on the exam, I did the same and then walked out knowing I aced it. The problem is the several month waiting, second-guessing and not knowing. Good job, now get a sweet raise and get your tank build on!

Yeah tank is already filled. But that was because I found a crack in one of the tanks I maintain and had to move it!

Ahhhhhh.......So you are one of "those" that I get frustrated with when I get a drawing that won't work. Or things have been forgotten. Or unnecessary stuff has been added. LOL

Congrats! From people that I have talked to, that is a very difficult test.

Forgotten stuff are things deemed unnecessary. Extra stuff are 'features'. LOL!

Thanks. It was a tough test!
