Looking at the tank after lights out and I spotted it. Looks similar to aptasia pics I found online, I'll try and see if I can get a shot of it tomorrow.
And of all places it showed up on my Marco Rocks. I am sure it originated from some of the live rock, just surprised I haven't seen it until now.
I'll try a couple peppermint shrimp and see if I get one with the taste for it.

For some odd reason I have the best luck with the peperment shrimp from Iowa city petland they always munch aptasia like crazy.

I have had great experiences with my two peppermint shrimp eating some aptasia when I started my tank. From talking with people that sell them, some may not eat it, but most will as long as you don't over-feed the tank and they have enough other food floating around on the bottom.

I would go the shrimp route and not try the AptasiaX or Joes Juice route, they both work instantly but it seems the aptasia are able to release their eggs and within a week you have doubled the amount of aptasia that you started with. I used a couple of peppermint shrimp but unfortunatley they where eaten within minutes by my FuMan Chu dwarf lion....

I am placing an order from reefs2go next week anyway. We will see if their shrimp have a taste for aptasia.

Just an update. I have looked all over the place and can't seem to find the suspicious pest. I am guessing the peppermint shrimp have already made a meal out of it. Lets hope so anyway.
