that explains why it's taking 4 months to get a 250 MH ballast warranted.

So which of their products are just rebranded items? Are we talking ballast? Bulbs? What?

Well, a bit of research showed that the Reef Illuminations is on the list. I paid a grand for that sucker based mostly on Icecaps rep. I thought it looked a bit odd when I got it; stickers not on straight, missing some screws...

Its big problem is crud reflectors...and ballasts. They are not IC ballasts in the IC Reef Illuminations.

Yeah, there are enough people out there saying this is BS.....but I just know too many people wondering why their stuff is stuck at IC.

Pretty much everything they sell is from what I have been hearing lately.  Might as well hit up ebay and buy some  of the Chinese knockoff products.

Well, moving an entire company to keep one individual happy, who doesn't even work for the company....that's telling the employees they are less than worthless. Few companies survive a dumb *** move like that.

I guess I've heard and seen enough I'm gonna recommend nobody I like should buy there stuff until they either fold or get their **** straight.

ANd it was *so* close on me buying Icecap or LEDS.....*sigh*.

    Um
They have no employees, they already laid them all off.
I think they have 1 left is all.

That would explain the lack of response from them /DesktopModules/ActiveForums/themes/_default//emoticons/smile.gif.

Dang. Hope that light doesn't break.

The weird part is that for the longest time Ice Cap was considered the "Gold Standard". I was looking into new lights and ran across that article. It is not for sure they will close down or not. From what I am finding is that they are restructuring the company and will remain open. Hopefully this means there customer service will improve as well as the practice of relabeling knock off goods. For me I would not be happy spending the money for top of the line stuff just to get bottom of the line junk.
Does prove the point, research before you buy, Shaun
