ID help

  1. I know the picture is not the greatest and will try and get another one once I see them again. I have two these running around in my 29 bio cube. They look like some type of mushroom from the top but underneath they appear to me some type of gastropod as they have a foot and a mouth. They are out every once in awhile and then seem to bury themselves in the sand.

It's a "fleshy limpet" Lucapina sp I believe. I believe theyre more harmless than regular limpets and graze on algae. Generally considered a good hitchhiker.

  4. Thanks for the help. Been wondering for awhile what it was and it never seemed to harm anything. Again thanks for help!

Do you know where you got them?

  6. They came in on some live rock. They just showed up. I got those and a mantis shrimp on the live rock. Mantis shrimp went back to the store as he was extremely destructive.
