Hi, we are finally done cycling our 75 gallon tank! This one is a fowlr and we hope to move to a reef tank with the next one. Anyway, my wife took all live rock and decorations out to catch the damsels and we had the water tested. They said at Iowa Pet that we were good to go. Well they didn't have much for fish right now and we didn't want to wait, lol, probably normal! So we found a nice sized pair of tank raised percula clowns, bought a chocolate chip starfish, a scooter blenny and 2 hermit crabs and an emerald crab. That is our start for now. Not sure how long we should wait to add to that though. Anyway, there was a damsel that hid in live rock and somehow survived that (we put the others in our 20 gallon that was ready first) and now is hiding in live rock a lot but giving the blenny some trouble. It seems to be afraid of the clowns as it is smaller. What should we do?? We are not sure about getting it out and how? Also, among our want list is an angel, maybe the coral beauty as we love the colors, a tang, a puffer and there is one or two others that my wife has found. Any suggestions are great! Thanks!

Carefull with the puffer and aggresive fish with smaller more friendly fish... They could go M.I.A... Also I wouldnt add anything else for a few weeks at least. Let you bio filter catch up and adapt to the new load. Id get that damsel out if at all possible. Sometimes you can get one that will be ok with other fish but if it picks on more desireable fish, it will stress and eventually kill it. As far as fish selection you are talking about Iowa pet food and seascapes? They have a huge seleciton of fish... They have the best selection around here by far and prices are way cheaper than the competitor imo...

Yeah, that is where we went but they were really low, no tank raised percula clown pairs. They had the true ones but they fight each other so we had to go elsewhere if we wanted clowns yesterday. Just incredibly impatient to get a few fish back in there, lol. Sometimes I make mistakes in what I say and now I am correcting when I notice. I have a brain disease so I make stupid mistakes, sorry. I laugh at myself though so it is ok!
Also, we are going with a yellow tang because we like them and they stay smaller. On a puffer we were thinking maybe a valentini, I think is the name but they only get like 4 or 5 inches maximum so I don't think it would be much of a problem to the other fish? We were thinking of a coral beauty angel because they are so pretty.

You should wait at least 6 to 8 months before you get any kind of an angel. They will want a more established tank.

Are you planning on getting coral later? If so I wouldn't recommend the puffer or the Choc. Chip Starfish.
