Next year is fast approaching and just want to start getting ideas on some stuff you guys want to do or learn about.  I know a food meeting will be an earlier on meeting as I have heard people mention being low on food.
Alright lets get the ball rolling......

I think controllers would be a fun one, and Defintally maybe just a DIY meeting in general. Dosing would be a awesome one too.

I agree with DOSING and CONTROLLERS. I have a controller and I know if I had some expertise I could take much better advantage of it. Also, I would like to learn more about dosing.

I would be really interested in a DIY meeting. Anything from stands and sumps to lighting fixtures, dosing setups, culturing live food, etc. Anything that can be done on your own to save some money ;-)

I agree with what has already been voiced - Food, food, food; and DIY topics.

The thing with controllers is that all of us have differrent ones and people that the people that don't have them could get a better Idea of what they might want.

I say between a few of us we might be able to demonstrate a few of the controllers. I think Joe may even have access to a a Profilux.

Also be interesting to have a meeting focused on lighting and comparisons especially comparing different LED lights. I think Joe could help us on this one sense they most likely test competitors lights. Maybe get a sample from each kind of lighting as far as PAR readings and kill-a-watt readings, and then look into annual upkeep on each light.

Dosing is another good choice and I will be doing some research on the topic a little more sense I now have the dosing pumps just need to get them running.

Yea the lighting one would be good. Last year we had a lighting meeting but the thing was we never had par numbers and went into serious detail.

+1 on DIY and LED lighting.  I think Joe could shed a lot of light [IMG] on this.  Sorry, I couldn't resist.

I like the idea on dosing...not only using a controller and doser but how to do a gravity-that is how fast will dose how much.
I like lighting also but would like to learn more about T-5's, not just LEDS. Some of us older reefers still go with CF's and MH's! It would be nice to see how to take a par reading!
Maybe a general type of meeting where people can share some of there treatment methods about when their fish or corals have problems, what kinds of medications they use, how they QT, success/failure when hyposalinity, how they regenerate the critters in their rocks, sand and just general things that people do or have experienced.  Sometimes just an information sharing meeting can be good.
