interesting tank for sell?

    i saw that, i was curious if its a good idea to glue cinderblocks to the bottom like that.... cant cinderblocks have bad silicate stuff in it or leach something?

    ive seen this kind of set-up before, the overflows are low and the block is glued because this is a "tidepool" tank. Intended for a 3-4 inch wave height! That thing is killer, would look lame tho if u didnt have a few vortechs brewin...

    I think cinderblocks are just made of cement? I used a ? because I am unsure. If that is the case, as long as the lime is leached from the blocks completely, it should be safe, much like "DIY dry rock".

    I still wouldn't risk using those cinderblocks in any case. Unless I made them myself I would never use cinderblocks in a tank. I have heard of way too many problems that it would never be worth it.

    Yeah you need to cook cinderblooks for several months before you can use them with impunity. I wouldn't, but it is possible. The rest of the tank is pretty neat especially if you dropped in a tunze wavebox.
