    Hello,
I have been meaning to sit down and type up a little something about myself so here it goes.
I have been in the Aquarium hobby off and on for 20 years. Mostly Fresh water breeding of Angels and Discus, but set up a few saltwater in the past. I have been an active member in 3 clubs in my surrounding area. Although my Saltwater adventures have all been on small systems. I really like the reef setups. I would like to get my kids to enjoy this hobby so we can do it together. Well I could go on and on about my experiences in the hobby and life, but will hold off for now. lol
Anyway I am starting on a project with a 29gal reef tank so any advice other then 29gal is to small (lol) would be great. I am in for the challenge and can't wait to get started. Those of you that know about Freshwater Discus will know I have the patients and willingness to overcome any challenge fish or setup.
Hope to meet all of you in my area that share the same passion as I do in this great hobby.
    Thanks
    Kyle Potter

If you're in the IC/CR area, try to come on the tank tour on Oct 9. It's a great way to meet people and see a lot of great tanks. Welcome to the group!

Thanks Kylie and all. Here is my stand I am building. In the making sort a speak. Its not my finest work, but left over 3/4inch Oak Plywood from my basement Bar.  So its just put together from what i can. I think its going to be fine. Nothing a little trim or filler won't fix. lol

Welcome Kyle to the club, Its a great place to learn about the hobby and to meet new friends. Sounds like the transition will be easy for you, with all your previous experience. Tank tours are a great way to see how things are incorporated together and in different ways. + if your not sure about something its a great time to ask questions.

    Good luck and happy Reefing!

I ended up with a 24" Qaud HO T5 fixture 2x 24W 10000K daylight bulbs and 2x 24W True Actinic bulbs with 2x Dual lunar LEDs. They all have there own plugs for timer. Its not high end by no means, but It should get me started and grow from there. I will see how included bulbs do. I still may go with Led or MH, but for now this is my lighting.  I got one coral banded shrimp today. He was very nice looking and the biggest I have seen around my area. I want a few peppermint shrimp and Skunk shrimp now.I would like to give a shout out to Big John for the Live rock and for Harlyhawk for getting picking it up for me. I love it and it had a lot of things come with it and my two kids are enjoying every minute of it watching for new things to come out and play. Some tube worms, snail, crab, clam(lookslike) and star fish. Also some sponges and I think a corky finger Gorgonian and many of the stinging anemone things. I will try to get rid of most of these, but for now they are there.

OK I have went from KyleP to Kpotter2. Kpotter2 is what I go by, but for some reason on here it put me as KyleP. I figured out how to change it so just so everyone knows.

    Thanks
