IOWA CITY AREA TANK TOUR

    WHAT: IOWA CITY AREA TANK TOUR
    WHEN: Saturday, Oct 16 ...  OR ...  Sunday, Oct 17
    TIME: Noon
    We tried to do a tank tour in the Iowa City area last July, but it didn't work out with everyone's busy summer.....so let's try again !!!
    According to the "official" schedule, the tank tour is scheduled for October 17....which is Sunday. But, I'm thinking we'll get a better turnout if we have it on Saturday, October 16.
    So - drop me a PM or post a reply to state your preference for which day....and if you'd like to be a stop, let me know.
    Since there will likely be some "driving" involved, we'll be limited to 3 or 4 stops, unless we can get several close together.

    Im going to offer to be a stop but I would only be able to do saturday at 2:30 or later (i work intil 2). I live along the coralville strip so u can get an idea where I am compared to others

    I say saturday, let kylie be the first stop and we could all meet at petland for a starting point.

    I plan on makeing this tour. If we meet a petland as a starting point I suggest that we try to get Andy to be the first stop he has a sweet sps reef. I'll pm him ad direct him here.

    I know Andy works Saturday mornings now as well so we would both get done at 2pm. If he was willing, you guys could go see him first and that'll give me a chance to get home and change.

    I know Adam, fish dept manager, said he'd be interested in being a stop. He lives in Iowa City

    Hey guys I would love to be on the tank tour! I have to leave for work at 2:20pm that day though, so if you guys stop by before then I'm totally down! I totally lost my phone, I've been without it for the last week and a half, so you guys can catch up with me here in a couple days with some txting (kylie lemme know whats up). And I'll be chxin my girs inbox a little more often.

    Hey Andy DID confirm! Hurray! I though it would be pulling teeth to get you to log on and confirm it. haha

    I too confirmed that I will be on the tour as well!

    Now we have a 4 weeks to get our tanks looking their best!!! haha And I have home AND work to worry about!

    I've got enough feedback to confirm Saturday, October 16. We will meet at 12:00 at Petland. I tentatively have 3 stops (Kylie, Adam, and Andy). If we add any more stops I will shift the starting time to something earlier.

    Plus, as an added bonus, Adam will have a special promotion at Petland for the tour participants. And, remember that GIRS members get a 10% discount (with exclusions) at Petland.

    If there are others who wish to be a stop on the tour, please let me know soon so I can finalize the schedule and post it.

    I would have been more than happy to be a stop but my wife works that weekend (nights) and she doesn't appreciate it when I have people over while she's trying to sleep /DesktopModules/ActiveForums/themes/_default/emoticons/sad.gif
    I do plan on being with the tour as long as my 3 year old can keep his attention span!
    Maybe I'll post some updated info on my tank in lieu of a stop - I've really grown quite proud of my brown corals!!
