I have a purple lobster I am looking to trade to AE or if someone would want to trade a lobster for some shrimp in the QC area *hint hint*  the question I had is, would he be ok if I bagged him up at night but left him floating in the tank over night then transporting him to AE around the latest is 2 or should I go fishing early in the morning?

I would say wait as long as you can before bagging him up just to be safe. But if you think about it how long are they bagged up when being shipped. You will probably be ok bagging him up the night before. Shaun

You could always get a net breeder or even make a DIY egg crate(if the lobster's big enough) to keep it in the water until you're ready...

I wouldn't leave it bagged up for that long.........I would think the oxygen in the bag of water would be pretty low by the time it was delivered. If it were me, I'd catch it and put it into a 5g bucket or something similar with a small heater and powerhead and transport that way as well. I'd be worried a lobster would pierce a bag unless it was pretty thick plastic.
