The situation is I have a Naso Tang ( Very Samll) that I bought from Ac&C two months ago. Anrew treated him for a couple weeks with copper then had him in fresh saltwater for a couple weeks. I took him home and placed him in my QT set-up (33 Long, HOB, Led's, 600 GPH Power Head). I have had him in there for two weeks and I'm doing a 5 gallon a week water change. I also used Dr, Tim's Bacteria to get the QT set-up going. He eats fine and will eat anything I put in the tank but he hides out all day and shows white stress spots when I enter the room. I'm nervous about putting him in my display tank so I was going to fresh water dip him and another 14 day copper treatment. Is he stressed enough from being treated and moved around so much? Should I just continue to QT him and watch his stress level? Should I copper treat him again?

    Is he by himself?

Those, and fox faces can turn amazing color variations when pissed or stressed.

Bad thing is stress weakens a fish & can lead to disease.

Tankmates help fish feel more secure, they are not used to being by themselves. Continue to feed garlic, hopefully he gets used to you.

No other tank mates right now but could add some too. I have dipped his food in garlic but seems to eat everything. Should I copper treat some more or just add a few anthias and see how he does.

I wouldnt dose copper unless you see sure signs of ich. If he is getting the weird splotches of white that fade in and out it is 100% stress related. Make him feel safe and secure is the best thing you can do.

Just fed him had white stress spots all over and when he ate the food they went away. You think I should just put him in the display tank and that will make him not stressed as much. I don't whats going to change leaving him in QT.

if he looks 100% healthy other then that yes. If he has been in isolation for that long, he should be ok.

Do you have a light over the QT? If they've been in the dark for extended periods that 'seems' to make fish look pale/show spots.

EDIT: Nevermind! I see that you said you had LED's over it.

I put it in the display tank and he seems a lot happier. Yellow tang accepted him well. No stress spots at all today and he is swimming all over. Being with a lot of tank mates and a good home must of helped.
