    When: Jan 28th 12-5pm
    Where: North Liberty Community Center (on West Cherry Street)
    What: Captive breeding & our belated holiday party
    Hey everybody I haven't been up to NL to sign the paperwork for the room yet, but their schedule is open and we shouldn't have a problem reserving it for the 28th from 1-5pm.
    This month we're showing a video from Craig's holiday party at AC&C with a talk by Matt Pedersen about captive bred fish. We will also use this opportunity to celebrate our belated holiday party and talk about this years meet schedule.
    Chime in here if you would like to bring something to the event for snacking and eating. I don't know how much of a meal we might want to make out of it, personally I'm thinking about shredded turkey sandwiches, and then vegetables, meat/cheese/crackers soda, cookies that type of cuisine. Anybody wanna throw down on bringing something? Any opinions on what we oughta have?

    On the "When" part, you have 12-5pm, then in the paragraph you have 1-5pm......personally, I prefer the earlier time /DesktopModules/ActiveForums/themes/_default//emoticons/smile.gif Also wondering if food will be set up right away and people can snack throughout or will it be presentation, then eating or ? I think the ideas you have for food sound fine. I can bring a crockpot of Maidrites + buns. I might bring a cookie or something else if I have time. Thanks for organizing this.

    Nice, yeah haha, earlier is best noon to five! Hopefully everybody will show up on time so we can start snacking right away as we get the food set up instead of like last time when we had to wait for pizza and stuff.

    Maidrites sounds good to me for sandwiches, I'll cover veggie tray and 2liter drinks!

    We could have both Maidrites and shredded turkey, doesn't matter to me, I just know how to make Maidrites /DesktopModules/ActiveForums/themes/_default//emoticons/smile.gif

    Cool sounds good, then I'll leave the soda to somebody else and bring a crock of shredded turkey!

    John and I will be there; I'll bring various types of soda and glasses, plates too. I'll bring chips too. It's our anniversary, so I'm not going to work too hard!

    We went to Ngorogoro (sp?) Crater and Ndutu in Tanzania, then Amboselli and Masai Mara in Kenya. I think we spotted everything except a leopard, babies of most.

    I would come except I have an interview with University of Minnesota on the 27th and informational meetings with them on the 28th. If I get back in time, I'll come!!! But sadly, I don't think I can drive that fast without going to jail.... /DesktopModules/ActiveForums/themes/_default//emoticons/tongue.gif

    I think that would be awesome if you could share those. Put them on a disk or stick and we can project them.
    ....and Happy Anniversary. Glad to hear you'll be spending it with us !!

    John & I will be there. Also, if anyone wants some metallic green hairy mushrooms, I'm going to thin them out of the tank and would be happy to bring some if you let me know ahead of time. There may be some rock involved if I can't get them to let go.
