Hope everyone had a great holiday and the new year finds everyone well.
Joe, Teresa, and myself have been putting some thoughts into future meetings and some things that have come to mind were tank tours.  Now January is full with the business meeting in Coralville, and if you do not know the details you can find them in this thread in the club business section  http://www.greateriowareefsociety.org/Community/DiscussionForums/tabid/78/aft/21358/Default.aspx  .  I hope you can attend, it should be a hoot.
Now on to Febuary.  Something we have tossed around as  I said were tank tours.  What we would like to do is on months that we do not have a formal meeting is perhaps have a gathering at your homes, have you discuss your tank, its ups and downs and such.  Now this can work several ways.  You may have a new reactor or ro unit  and not exactly sure how to install or dial it in.  Well perhaps the club can help and your place could be the next months stop.   Think about it and let us know what you think.
March is kind of up in the air right now.  I know I would love to do  DIY food thing. This is not cheap but if we all pitch in I am confident it will be cheaper then buying food in the end.  Some details on this are in progress and will keep you informed.
If you have any other thoughts or ideas  please lets us know. This is your club and it really is up to you what we do and how we do it.
    Mike.

Maybe this would be a good place to post the intended meetings for this coming year and see what the rest of the area thinks.
Quad Cities area folks we would really appreciate some input on the events for this coming year.  We know this area hasn't been real active for a couple of years but we would really love to change that.
We are a group of folks that have a common interest and each bring to the table our own successes and failures that everyone in this club could learn from.  Some like to experiment and some like to use the old tried and true but if we get together and share these experiences we could all have some awesome tanks.  So everyone please share your thoughts.
If we don't receive input, we have no idea what everyone would like to see or do so please post your comments.

Rick, what a great offer.  We can definately get some car pools together for those that do not want to drive themselves.
For those that have not seen his set up, it is something you don't want to miss.
