July BBQ/meeting filter group buy

    I am wondering if there is anything in the works for the July meeting or BBQ, date, place, or time?. Also, Ginny Haenel of Caribbean Filters ( http://www.aquariumfilterbags.com and macna booth #218) called me today wondering if any of the GIRS members would be interested in a group buy for filter bags.
      Ginny said that she can send some samples of the their products for the BBQ/meeting and offer a group buy discount. I have an excel document with their prices. The big reason i bought from them was their prices, and secondly great service. I am probably going to buy some through the offer. If you are interested, i can email the excel sheet to you. I am going to try posting it on a website or google documents

    What about combining the DIY food I am trying to put together with the BBQ? Keep in mind I haven't asked the wife, but as of right now, Saturday the 30th has nothing on the calendar at all, and I have a big backyard. My grill is sub-par, but it would make for a great excuse to pop for a new one.

    I would also be willing to offer up my place outside of ames. I have a huge kitchen we could make the food in. And I have a half way decent grill!

    I will talk to Joe and see if we can do this as a club sponsored event if u would like no promises though. also we would need to set down a place date and time. let me know your thoughts on this

    Sounds good, and I'm up for any place within reasonable driving distance. To me Ames is not that far, I don't know about anyone else, just hope we can get a good turnout and putting both together would be great. If it's a club event, does that mean we might be able to get a discount on some of the food at Seascapes?
