I just ordered my new mp10es . Figured Might as well do it now ,  My question is can it be wired to an acIII or is it better to let it stand alone?

It really depends. Ecotech pumps have something known as Night Mode. You can set it to run at 50% for a period of time, but it's based on an internal timer of sorts. When it looses power, the night mode config is gone. That being said, you can configure your AC3 to turn off power to your MP10 during your AC3 feed cycles, but that's the extent of the control. It's not like the Apex with the WXM where you can actually change the pump modes, etc. There is no WXM equivalent module for the AC3. The Vortech also has a built in feed mode that you can activate by pressing a button on the driver too, so you have a couple of options on how to control things.

Yes, the AC3 can turn it on or off, but you can't use "Night Mode" if you do that as it will loose the "Night Mode" config every time it looses power.
