Anyone have recommendations for a kalk reactor or stirrer? I'm looking for something that can be used with a litermeter 3 as the feed from my RO storage reservoir. I want something that is proven reliable and easy to add kalk powder to. I do not want to have to tinker with it and deal with it clumping up. I would prefer to be able to go about 2 weeks or more without having to add more powder, but I know that would probably be subjective to evaporation rate and demand.

This will be the primary source of my Ca/Alk dosing. I have a 120 gallon tank with about 10-15 gallons in the sump. I would estimate my evaporation is around 1 gal to 1.5 gals per day.

Otherwise I will continue mixing up kalkwasser in a trashcan and dose it as my topoff, but I thought it would be nice to eliminate 1 more container taking up space and having to refill it every month. /DesktopModules/ActiveForums/themes/_default/emoticons/biggrin.gif

Avast marine. Has been working without issues since I set it up. Just need to keep the output line cleaned out. The kalk residue will build up and clog it eventually.

yes, but you can save yourself a little money and get the one you have to assemble yourself. Assembly takes nothing really.

I saw that was an option in the research I was trying to do. I have yet to find a site that sold the actual DIY kit.
