Kalkwasser

Yes --Using a Litermeter 3 peristaltic pump on a floatswitch that feeds RO/DI through a kalkstirrer, then to the sump. I think a lot of people still use some form of kalkwasser with their top-off.

 

I do. Its maxed out on my 75 gal DT so I have to supplement also with 2 part. But I'm very satisfied with the kalkwasser. I'm also getting ready to set-up an ATO on my cube tank and frag tank. I'm planning on using kalkwasser with them as well.

 

We use Kalk in both our 280 and 210 ATOs and like Jeanette have to supplement with 2 part in the 280 to keep up with the Alk & CA demand.

 

Kalk is tried n true. Works great.

I always dripped it in slowly at night since it raises ph

 

I use it in my top off container, but that's only a 4G container under my NanoCube.

 

I personally I do it at night so I can control it better but many use it in top off

 

We have a 75G top off on the 280 and a 30G on the 210.

 

I've been using it for 6 months on my 45g cube... Playing with the idea of a calcium reactor, I just need to do some more reading on them.
