I came home from being gone a few hours to see that my Kessil A350W is not on, when it should be on. I tried the obvious of unplugging it and plugging it into another outlet, disconnecting the various junctions, then re-connecting, but nothing has worked so far. I blew out the vent areas, vacuumed them, wiped it down, unplugged it for awhile and waited, then re-plugged, still nothing /DesktopModules/ActiveForums/themes/_default/emoticons/angry.gif I've sent a couple emails to the company, but haven't heard a thing back yet and they only have a local number to call, no 800 number /DesktopModules/ActiveForums/themes/_default/emoticons/crazy.gif I'm thinking it must have got too hot and then shut down, but no where in the very short directions/trouble-shooting section of their manual does it say how or when to get it back on after it shuts off automatically. Anyone have any experience with this light? Very annoyed right now.........

Stupid question but did you check the breaker for the outlet? I've had that issue in the past.

No, not a stupid question, but unfortunately/fortunately, everything else is working fine on the outlet. I have it plugged into a controller and it shows it as "on" and there is a tiny green light in the thing that's in the middle between the light and outlet that is lit up, so I know power is getting to at least that part.

The Kessil people emailed me back and told me to call them, but I didn't have time before the closed. That makes me think that this must be more serious an issue, otherwise they would have just emailed me a few things to try, right? I've only had this light a little over a year, I'll be so pissed if it craps out now on me /DesktopModules/ActiveForums/themes/_default/emoticons/angry.gif

That doesn't sound good. Make sure to post what you find out. I have a kessil on my 29g biocube and have been very happy with it.

you should try to plug it in to a different proven power source anyway

What controller are you using? It may not be the light but the controller. If it's the Apex or RK, did you try to plug something (working) into the outlet to see if it works/runs?

Light doesn't work in any outlet, period :/ Spoke with Jerry at Kessil this morning and he said it is likely an electrical issue inside the light. I checked and I've only had it for ~ 9 months.......anyways, they're sending out a new one, should be here beginning of next week and I'm supposed to send the non-working one back once I get the new one up and working.

So good customer service I guess, but disappointed obviously that the light stopped working after only 9 months. Thankfully it happened now vs when we're on vacation in a few weeks. Not sure what I'm going to use for a light until the new one comes?! Really annoying.........
