Has anyone ever fixed a leak without draining and tearing down the system? I have a glass tank that is leaking in the very bottom corner of the overflow. About a couple drops every second. Most advice is to drain and repair, but thought I'd ask if there has been any success without draining.

    Thanks in advance!

I have had the same issue once b4 I used a towel to protect my floor and the salt creep stopped the drip. Being that small of a drip you should be fine. I know your panic all so well!!!

Depends on if it's in the overflow or on the outside. If it's inside the overflow you could get away will resealing it if you just drain the overflow. Then resilicone that area. On the outside you are looking at tearing down. It's the tank and not a bad gasket on the overflow?

It's an elos style tank so the over flow is 2 glass panels on the corner. Pipes just run up through this squad opening. Not possible to just drain the overflow because it's really just draining into a pipe that goes through this opening. I would have to reseal while it's dripping or drain.

Try using epoxy like you would use on your rock or to set a frag in . Should work until you have time to fix it
