LED best bang for my buck.

    I am fixing to do the big switch to LED lighting with in the next couple weeks.  As of now I am looking at going with 2x SoL blues for my 90. These along with the controller and a 48 inch mounting kit is going to run me about 1k.
    Before I go this route I am curious if anyone has some other ideas or thoughts as too other systems I may want to consider for approx the same cost.

    i have two over my 58 gallon reef ready slovan has threee over his new tank plus two 400 hilides but with just the three lights on it lit up the tank real good and it was six feet long i was gonna use two on a 120 if i get another but xroads would know better

    i got lucky when i set my lights up i found a 36'' metal shelving rack at menards the ones where u buy the metal rod and buy the different brackets to attach to the rod. i got the 36'' one ond the screw holes that u would use too screw the rod to the wall were spaced just right where i could screw my leds right into and and then screw the hole assembly to my canopy i also cut two holes in the top of my canopy where the led lights fans are

    I don't know Mike. I've got about $600 in my DIY and it turned out awsome!

    Mike, wait for the Kessil A350's to come out!!! End of March or so I hear.

    Rick I would be very interested in seeing your DIY led. My biggest issue with DIY is im not real handy that way and I have never really cared for how they look but knowing you, you did some some super sweet work on it.
