Ok so i've been reading up alot on DIY LED lighting.  Does anyone in the club have experience with this.  I don't feel completely comfortable doing it myself just yet.  I would like to get a little more insight into doing this though.  It seems alot of people are trying it on Nano-Reef.  Im pretty much just looking for a little guidance.  Any help would be appreciated.

That guy started a nano right around when I did and we have been shooting ideas back and forth. He did a decent video of his making two LED arrays. Apparently he knows just about nothing about electrical stuff (not saying this as a good/bad thing, just a fact), but he had great success.

Yeah, so let me know if you get it figured out. Eventually I would like to power my entire 180 off LED's. I just cant afford the lights that exist right now!

I do know there are some places that will do bulk discounts if you buy 50+ of their LEDs. I suppose this could be an option, but it would require a few of us to be committed. A 180 tank with corals is still running around $800 in the DIY range, though that is FAR cheaper than current modules.
