Interesting outcome with the system using a skimmer for only 6 hours per day yielding the best results.

My skimmer is difficult to take offline and as it's a downdraft the theory is that it doesn't need to as it won't remove advantageous nutrients ("theory").

I thought this was the most interesting part, "Your study while interesting has one major flaw. Because the dividers in the tank are clear the two middle tanks are getting more light from the adjacent tanks. This could have contributed to the better growth of the sps." I followed these videos right after he started releasing them. I hadn't even thought of that but the middle tanks do receive extra light compared to the outer tanks.

 

Basically the middle 2 tanks benefit from 3 lights while the outer two tanks benefit from 2 lights, and not evenly as the outside edges of the outter tanks will receive the least light. Basically it isnt controlled enough to make a conclusion that the benefit is from something other than the extra light.
