Tonight after seeing the different landscaping in a tank. Do you use the 1,3,5 technique, the flat wall, or mounds?
    Do you have dead spots?
I know I look at my tank differently.

Pretty bland but over stuffed. Getting ready for the upgrade!

We tried to use the rule of 3rds technique. I would say that the flow seems to be very even with the gyre even now as it's filling in.

Better pic with lights and water. I don't have any good current pics with corals.

I like the rule of thirds myself, or Golden Ratio, google either of those and "aquarium" and you get a ton of pics.

This is the tank at Taki in Urbandale. Tried to follow the Golden Ratio, it's hard to see exactly in these pics but the big plate rock is up about 50% more than the rock on the right, right rock is forward to the 1/3 point and plate is back to the 1/3 point.
