LF 48" T5 bulbs

    I am looking for some 48" T5 bulbs. I don't necessarily need new, just fairly cheap. They will be supplemental lights to MHs, mostly to add some actinic/color. I just want to see some options before necessarily going out and spending money on all new bulbs. Wanted to try some fiji purples and some of the ATI blue plus )assuming I can be that picky LOL). Don't really need anything in the 10.000K spectrum though.

    Hi Bela - I have 3 Current USA 460 n Actinic bulbs (48") that have been used for only 2 months (They were in the original set-up I purchased in July last year).  I removed them because they have a low PAR, but I think the color is ok.  They are on sale at DFS for $15.99.  I'd give them to you at half price if you're interested.   But I understand if you want something else!

    I have some Fiji purple and actinic + bulbs I could sell for like $5 a piece. I only have 1) blue plus but it is on my tank though. /DesktopModules/ActiveForums/themes/hybrid//emoticons/sad.gif

    Slovan, where are you located? I assume the age on the bulbs is 1 year plus? Not an issue as I am just looking to mess with colors, but still curious. How many bulbs do you have total. I was thinking of going with 2x purple 2x actinic, or Blue+, not sure what that would look like though.

    Becker, I might take you up on those bulbs depending on how far of a drive it would be to Slovan's place. Was considering going with the ATI's only because I hear only good things from those bulbs, but I don't think PAR is going to be too much an issue, more a color thing.

    I am in Altoona. The bulbs vary in length of service because i like to play with the color combinations myself. They are anywhere from 3 mos. to a year.

    Ah ok, so right near DSM, that would work for me. Did you have 2x actinic+ and 2x fiji purples I could grab at $5 a piece then? Would Friday or sometime this weekend work for me to come by?
